wonderful. Do you know if there are any other public toilets available in Crystal Palace?
Hi - thank you! There is a little one opposite The White Hart, but it has already been filled in...
I am in awe of what you have done.....what a perfect use for an unwanted eyesore. Very, very well done!
This is utterly amazing! I love literally five seconds around the corner on Westow Hill and I wondered about the shiny new look of the outside. If you ever want to invite anyone round for a cuppa... :)
wow! you are amazing! what an idea! looks incredible!
Truly wonderful renovation! I was wondering if there were a floorplan available anywhere. I'm trying to figure out where you tucked the bathroom. I can't quite parse it from the pictures. Thank you!
The bathroom is roughly where the attendants room was on the Ladies side...smashed out and then rebuilt with a hidden cupboard/plumbing etc...Thank you I am so glad you like it!
Amazing stuff Laura, was not aware of your project. Do you fancy working on the ones at the top of Belvedere road next?
Would love to - but they are filled in...boohoo
I saw this on TV last night, and I thought it was just fantastic! Best thing on the programme!
Thank you!!! Glad you like it!
I also saw this on the TV. Awesome Job, we love it! We're renovating at the moment, this project is really inspirational, Thankyou for sharing it.
Thanks so much! Laura x
A truly inspirational renovation. Congratulations for achieving such a fantastic outcome and preserving a little bit of history. Loving living in a small house ourselves, we think you rock!
Thank you!!! xx
Ingenious! I really love your use of colour too. There must be so many potentially habitable spaces in our cities that are completely overlooked. I live in Leeds and I have heard rumours that there is a whole subterranean level in the city centre...
Thank you! Yes...its quite amazing what is left abandoned and forgotten.....
i am searching some useful information, immediately i found this post and gain some useful information great work such a great brain to use.frameless shower screens
Hi Laura,I love this project. The light, the sense of space, the fitout, the furniture... even (especially?!) the oversized clock!I suspect it's the layout and the proportions, but there's something about the essence of what was originally there that's been retained - I can't quite put my finger on it.You've done an amazing job - and so pleased for you that it sounds like you've got some publicity out of it too... hopefully it equates to some additional projects that you can do an equally good job of!Cheers,Kavan(Oh, and some context: I'm an architect in Australia - the link was forwarded to me from my Mum, Sheila, who went to uni with your Mum.)
Just seen your house on Amazing Spaces. Absolutely genius. What a beautiful result to its original use. Very well done & merry Christmas :)
What an amazing looking space. I'm jealous..ingenious use of space.would never of thought of doing this.hope you don't get trouble from idiots that know your living there.
Just heard you on Robert Elms' BBC London show. How impressive and inspiring! It just shows what an eye for the unusual, thinking outside the box and true persistence can do, plus a very imaginative use of space. How did you get all that natural light in without exposing yourself, so to speak, to the public above?
I too have just heard you on BBC London and come straight back to the office for a Google! I must say, the transformation is amazing, well done, it looks a lovely little home. Enjoy!
Thank you so much!! Yes no-one can see in because the glass lights are very thick thankfully!
Hi Laura. I live just around the corner in Jasper Rd and had no idea your place was there until I saw Amazing Spaces. what you have created is beautiful!
WOW Laura, you created such an amazing space! Especially impressive considering what you started with. Such talent and such fabulous taste! You are an inspiration!
Absolutely stunning!I can only imagine the energy, guts, stamina and will it takes to achieve such a project, yet I suppose it requires A LOT of it - which you've obviously got!Inspiring and truly remarkable!
Wow! I'm impressed! What impresses me, is your ability to the possibilities before you got the project going. Really nice work!If I ever (again) need to transform a place myself, I'd definitely be ready to pay you to help me find the ideas and get a hold of the structures!Best regardsPeter, from Denmark
Hello from America just want you to know I am just so inspired by your vision and your accomplishments facing my own challenges of my own life today nothing like refurbishing building but just want you to know that your fortitude inspires me so rock on and I love your apartment would love to come see it someday if I ever make it to London take care best wishes thanks for the inspiration
I should be an architect WOW! So amazed with Your work done with the house :) I love the red and gold coulours in the bathroom but the sink would change for something different like this: Kraus Red Sink but I rather would put it on a white shelf to make some contrast :) I think I will star over my education and start studying the architecture with decoration :D Thanks for your post :) best Regards
I love that living room light! Do you remember the name/details of it?
I like what you did with the bathroom. For a second I thought there were two toilets, but it was just the reflection. toilets edmonton
This is so cool! I lived in Crystal Palace for several years. My boyfriend and I would sit at the cafe near these flats nearly every weekend. When we finally figured out that they were flats, we were dying to know what they looked like inside. We finally have an answer!
Some of these are pretty cool. If would respect the list more if it weren’t so mac centric however. Nice list either way… more info visit "Barcelona Corporate Flats "
that was awsome!!!
